Voile Chic began in September 2014 with a clear vision: to elevate the hijab experience in Canada and across North America.
What started as a small idea grew into a trusted online brand, thanks to the loyalty and support of our community.
Today, Voile Chic is proud to be one of the leading online hijab brands globally, built on quality craftsmanship, thoughtful innovation, and designs created for real women and real life.
It Began with a Bad Purchase
Like many Muslim women, we grew up sourcing hijabs from overseas, waiting for Eid or special occasions, or searching through local stores for shawls we could turn into something wearable.
It was complicated, time-consuming, and often disappointing; nothing designed specifically with us and our needs in mind.
In April 2014, while on maternity leave just weeks after giving birth, our founder tried ordering hijabs online from home, at a time when there were very few online hijab options available.
When they arrived, the quality wasn’t what she had hoped for.
The fabric was slippery and sheer, and the edges were already coming apart.
That moment sparked a realization: this wasn’t just her experience.
Many women were settling for hijabs that didn’t truly work for their lives.
So she decided to change that.
Voile Chic was launched to make it easier for women like her to access hijabs they could rely on. Pieces that felt good to wear, elevated an outfit, and arrived exactly as expected. Hijabs made with care, intention, and real life in mind.

We prioritize ethical production whenever possible. We work closely with a dedicated team in Turkey on hand-sewn pieces, and partner with trusted manufacturers internationally for select designs. Across all partners, we value fair working relationships, skilled craftsmanship, and long-term collaboration.

Comfort is at the core of Voile Chic. Our hijabs are designed to feel light, breathable, and easy to wear, staying in place and holding their shape through long, busy days. Every piece is created with real life in mind, so getting dressed feels simpler, calmer, and more practical.

Innovation has always been part of Voile Chic. We design with real needs in mind. From pioneering ‘Non-Slip’ Chiffon to solve the challenges of traditional chiffon, to creating Instant Hijabs for busy women who wanted to move through their day with less time, effort, and pins. Every design is shaped by real needs, making everyday wear simpler, more practical, and ensuring women feel their best in hijab.
International Distribution
We currently ship worldwide, with warehouse distribution in Canada and the U.S., and the U.K. and plans to expand further in the future, inshallah.
